Mont-Blanc preparation stay and climb

AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Mont-Blanc, the highest peak in Europe, is attempted by a lot of people without experience. This stay will propose to guide you to the top, after 3 days of good acclimatisation and the necessary instructions on another high summit of the Alps, Gran Paradiso (4061 m) in Italy.

We generally climb the normal route from Tête Rousse or Gouter hut to the top. At your guide's discretion, the ridge from Cosmic hut to the top may be attempted. This is a more demanding undertaking, requiring the best level of fitness and good snow conditions.

THE ALTA-VIA “MORE”
The first 3 days around Victor Emmanuel hut in Italy, and the ascent of Gran Paradiso, with the best acclimatisation.
The experience of the “Alta-Via” alpine guides, who live at the foot of Mont-Blanc.

LEVEL OF ABILITY
Good level of endurance fitness. Previous mountaineering experience is advised. However we teach all required skills during the preparation. Mont Blanc is high and the altitude and the cold make it hard work.
